This is incredibly beautiful! Love the texture in the painting and the border compliments it so well. The colours too are a perfect combination.

Call me Jean-Louis. As you can see with my bad english, I am from Quebec, Canada and I mostly speak and write french.
I have been to Japan for a small week; tourism. Tokyo, Mount Fuji, Kyoto...I spent 3 weeks in China and then a week in Japan. I really enjoy meeting the population, tradition and especialy the wild youth of Japan.
All these very polite attitude, the good foods, the landscape, the monasteries, people in kimonos and dressed very modern...
Of cours it is not like living there. On this planet, anyway, nothing is perfect, anywhere.
Do you work in Japan as an artist? Do you make a living out of it?
Let me tell you again that your execution on silk is gorgeous.
It has been a long time before I came back to this site but I will try to be there more often.
Ofer,
Great work on silk! Japan is a country that is so marvelous with kind people. I have been there in 2007 and really enjoy my visit. Inspiring, this country and so are your fabulous silk paintings. It is a real pleasure to be on this silk painters web site because of Francine Dufour that I greatly appreciate. It is a pleasure to be here with Daniel Jean-Baptiste also. Such great silk painters in this get together.
I see the eastern influence in your work - I have been teach Chinese and oriental painting for many years - everything I do on paper ends up being reproduced on silk - see my web page www.singingrayne.com
Thanks for the comments Winter, It your work that inspires me expecially one with a peacock and the fine gold gutta? lines on the feathers. I love the fine and subtle details of your work it some thing that I struggle to achieve
Merry Christmas and hopefully I will catch you again
