Hi ... from Montreal, Canada! I send you a warm welcome to our network. Wonderful to have you with us! While I am writing this I am looking at your 2 designs. I specially love the one with 2 flowers on yellow background. I really like your design and the color choices. Being a designer certainly helps getting beautiful silk paintings much faster. And I find you are already doing very well. I like your backgrounds. They are lively and bring this special extra to create depth. Wonderful!

You are very welcome. Yes, it is a wonderful place to be, to exchange, to learn from each other. And as you might have seen, too, there are people exhibiting from all kinds of levels and knowledge. And arts, after all, is something you can always add to. In other words, you have learnt enough ... otherwise arts becomes a dead element. Everybody who works in arts wants his/her creation to be or become alive. At least this is my understanding of what I create.
Have a wonderful weekend. I am, unfortunately, working (sales manager in furniture/decoration) until 5pm.

Nameste Jasdeep! Thanks for all your comments on everybodys silks! I love seeing others work as it presses me further! I am way behind in posting recent pics...will try to do that this week! I tried to leave a few comments on yours...however the website never took it...so I decided to try here!

I still have my "first attempt" as well...just never could part with it. It reminds me of the excitement I had of discovering how amazing silk painting is! So Bravo to You!!! and keep on pushing the limits! You'll be amazed and dazzled at what you can do with a little dye and a piece of stretched silk! Don't be afraid to try flowers "without" using gutta or resist! It is so much fun to watch where the silk allows the dyes to flow... usually NOT where you expect it but have fun with it! It takes on a life of its own! Also a smaller brush allows you to control the directions a little more... takes more time...but you get good results. My lion was done with zero resist! Very nice work Jasdeep! ~Robin~

my goodness Jasdeep - you've left so many wonderful comments and ratings on my silks!!
Thank you -- I truly appreciate every one! I use both 12 mm silk satin which takes color so beautifully and is so vibrant but also silk chiffon which is so soft and wearable -- the leaves piece you commented on, is silk chiffon. Lynn

Jasdeep, how do I achieve a honeycomb effect on the silk? I am intrigued. I promise to try it out if you tell me how. :-)
