Thank you, Linda! I really admire your style - it is so fresh and fairy tale like! I also hope to get a good reputation in Etsy and then people already know what to expect! It may take time, but I am patient ; )) With my warmest wishes Maria htt...

I agree with the others that have said you ned to start with a wide range of prices in your shop. Once you have a following of customers and people that have marked your shop as a favorite you can raise your prices. Here is a link to my Etsy shop,...

About Me:
I love to paint on silk - it is the best therapy, when you feel a need to do something REALLY good. . . I paint my silk with love, and passion, and joy, and silk remembers those feelings ; ))
I have painted silk since 1996, so it's my 13-th year.
In the beginning it was just a wonderful hobby, but after becoming a mother (I have two daughters, older is 5, younger 2 years old) this hobby has become my second work.
Now my silks are available in Etsy too: http://www.etsy.com/shop/singingscarves

I call my scarves Singing Scarves because quite often I sing while painting them. In old Estonian and other Finno-Ugric tales the power of song is very strong - it is possible to influence the people and the cattle and the nature, it is possible to create new worlds with the power of song. Those folk tales carry the wisdom of centuries and Estonian people have not forgotten them - the power of song is still alive in our culture. . .and I am proud to be an Estonian.

Hi Maria, so nice to get your comment and welcome greetings. I was just visiting your own site, and I absolutely love what you are creating! I am impressed! I like your philosophy that you put into your work, the title of "singing scarves" ... very inspiring. I am Swiss of origin as you might have seen on my website. The close contact to nature, the elements, the sun, the birds' songs ... this is what characterizes my own work. I love it and I always feel the immense joy when I am painting... and hopefully, this transmits within my creations.
Have a wonderful day ... I have to run off to work (sales manager for imported furniture and decoration) ... Until next time,
Christine

Do let me know when you have done it as i would love to see! Your English is really good - I personally think that if your grammar was a bit wrong it would only make the person want to buy even more as they would know that the scarf was coming from a different culture. But if you ever wanted someone to read what you had written then I would be happy to check any grammar. 5 languages - that is such an achievement and this fifth language English you write so well!.Good luck with the Etsy setting up!

Hi Maria
I have just commented on 2 of your latest paintings but I love all of them! They are so professionally photographed too. You are obviously an expert at using photoshop. I am just learning. Could you tell me in photoshop did you have to carefully select the outline of the bit of the photo that you wanted to put on top of the dark red background or is there an easier way - I think you have done it using layerts? And how did you get the scarf and hair to blow in the wind? Great effect! Artwork is greatly enhanced by photographing it well so I must learn to improve in that respect as well as with my painting.Do you know about this gift thing - it asks if I want to attatch a gift to my comment but I am too scared to try!

Hi Maria,
Thanks so much for your compliments - your work is beautiful as well! Very organic and free flowing! I am so jealous of those folding frames you have - and all that space to spread out and be creative! Good luck with your online ventures!
