About Me:
I am a Certified Artisan and a Fiber Artist. Although I paint on Burlap fabric with acrylic paints, my love is painting on Silk. I do Tie-dye, Batik and Silk Painting. I love the surprise element in Silk Painting where the dyes mix and create the wonderful colors combined with the shimmer of the silk that make my soul smile.

Hi Mari,
Thank you so much for your comments! I'm still very much in the exploratory stages of what silks work best for me. I think habotai is my fav for painting, however I like the lightweight crepe and charmeuse feeling for scarves..
Hi Mari, Thanks for Inviting me.Your silk work is very lovely! and your input very helpful. I am enjoying learning how to paint on the silk and steam it and all. I have recently been trying out soy wax and so far like using it. Do you have any input on using it?
Hi Mari
Some of my work does use wax but is not batik in its true sense in that I do not apply colour then wax then more colour and so on. Ok I will join the group next time I am on!
