yes
About Me:
With a Bachelor of Science in Art, – emphasis in Illustration, I am a self-taught silk painter. Discovering the medium of dyes on silk in 1999, I knew this was my medium of choice. Its vibrant colors combined with texture in the weave gives dimension and substance to my paintings.
Artist Statement
Rapidly spreading on silk, transparent dyes cause the artist to swiftly create the painting with spontaneous action. My painting process is similar to a jazz musician; I begin with a general vision in mind, sketches alongside, and I go with the flow, capturing the mood of the day, trusting my experience to improvise.
Hi Christine
I couldn't remember but I have just seen my comment below and I think that you did reply - I do remember your beautiful work though! And to think that you are now a successful full time artist - what an achievement! I can believe that times must have been tougher lately though! Good luck!

Yes, I totally agree. I used to paint a lot in Dry Pastel Technique before I got into Silk painting. The change was a big one ... but I find that to express you creativity, Silk offers even more. The other thing I really like about silk is the unexpected surprises that push you into fully using your creative side. Just wonderful!
Hi Christine
I have just visited your website and I also remember "touched by lightening" from my days at the yahoo silkpainting group. You have so much beautiful work and I am a true admirer of your style of painting and how you add that little bit of you to all your paintings. I LOVE all the ones looking through rocks or cliffs to the sea or sky[beyond I think was one of them or looking ahead]. The angles of the rocks are so intriguing.. Was Jean Louis in that group? It must be about 6 years or so since I was there but I have kept in touch with Karen Sistek and she is a great friend. I think she has mentioned you to do with the silk banners.I have had a break from painting and it feels as if I am completely starting again.
Best wishes
Pauline
