You mean that you have used scissors to cut the actual wax? Surely it is stuck to the silk too much to do this? And a bit worrying incase you cut into the silk! I cannot imagine using scissors on wax.But it has created a wonderful unique effect and made perfect thin lines. Very ingenious!

Thanks, Pauline! It is a normal pongee silk, the stripes are just form holding it and the play of light. You are right, it has been painted wiht wax, I have used an ordinary painting brush (the big one, that is normally used to paint walls, etc.) and I have used scissors to cut some of it off to make it make stripes (oh, my Enlgish, but I hope you can get the idea ; ))
Gorgeous! It looks as if it is painted on a satin/chiffon striped scarf? You have used wax i think but it doesn't look quite like it has been used in the usual way with a stiff brush. Did you use a tjanting as well?
