Well, you are not the only one in silkpainting with teaching background - Leonard Thompson is maybe one of the best known teachers who is at the same time an excellent silk artist and silk painting teacher. I am also
a self-taught silk painter, I have done my MA in linguistics (learning to read, so it is connected wiht teaching too ; ))

Thanks, Maria. I feel so lucky to be part of a group of such talented and creative people. I am a self-taught silk painter, with a teaching (home economics, general education, special ed.) background and not in art. I have a lot to learn about it and grateful to have 'teachers' such as yourself and the others in this network.
